A Saturday Walk on the Reserve
Sarah and I decided to go for a walk to the Nature Reserve on a fine September Saturday, although we only saw limited wildlife it was great to get out and about, the images below are just a few things we saw.
I think the Dragonfly is a Ruddy but it could also be a Common Darter??

A Selection of September Dragonflies - Damselfly's

| Broad-Bodied-Chaser ( Libellula depressa ) A Lovely hot September day at Windmill Farm Nature Reserve, Dragonfly pools. Spent a very hard hour trying to photograph these with a telephone lens not a Macro, next time i must take my macro lens. Oh well i did manage to photograph several SparrowHawks getting mobbed my Hirundines!! |

A Selection of Birds from the RNBWS Weekend at Portland
A Selection of Bird Life from the Royal Naval Bird Watching Society weekend at the Portland Bird Observatory. On the Saturday we logged 96 Bird Species in eight hours, not bad going!!
