Quick Trip by the River..

Grey-Wagtail, rather alert after a fellow wag flew over head calling, it later landed. and they had a chat.

Not the best reflection but nearly, such a pretty bird.

A Sunday walk on the Cliff's.

A beautiful Comma.

Adult Grey Seal - Keeping a watchful eye on the pup below.

I kept a very good distance as not to upset such a cute pup, and more importantly the mother.

A couple of local river birds.

Dipper

Whilst taking pictures of the kingfisher these chaps decided to pay me a visit, and very nice too.
Although I have taken many pictures of dippers before usually in Exmoor, this is the first one i've seen on the Lizard, what a great surprise..

My First KingFisher Shot's.

Just landed...

Now time to fish.
Sorry Mr Kingfisher, that's a leaf!!! Maybe not such a good spot!!

And rest...

I've always wanted to photograph Kingfishers but have never found the right place to do it and the time! So i decided to make it my mission!
I did a quick recce of my local river to spot any potential good places for them to perch and feed. I placed two old bits of wood in the mud near a good deep spot on a straight bit of river, which then followed to a bend in hope to slow the Kingfisher down when speeding up and down the river.

On day two, low and behold a willing Kingfisher decided to take up his new fishing spot.
I was absolutely over the moon to capture these images, my heart was beating rather fast in hope he would stay long enough for me to get off a couple of frames.  I took roughly 100 pictures and these are just a few of them.

Location, now a secret..

Detail is not bad considering 1600 ISO at F5.6 1/100th of a second, IS helps.
